And... We're Off!

So we're finally here! That moment that I have been waiting for! Camp NaNo has officially started! Whooo! I'm off to get a head start on my word count as soon as possible, but I wanted to share my novel Synopsis with you. Here it is:

Lila Marie Langley has been around abuse all her life. Her Dad was verbally and physically abusive to her Mom, and they finally decided that getting a divorce would be best for the family. Lila then got into a relationship with an abusive boyfriend, who treated her no better, if not worse, then her Dad. The worst part is, she knows nothing different. This has been her life, and she decides to accept it.

One day when she gets into an accident at the local swimming pool, Lila's life is forever changed. She meet's Will Anthony Parker who is handsome, sweet, and seems like the perfect guy. Can Lila learn to trust Will and finally have a normal relationship again? Or will she continue this cycle of abusive relationships because that is all she has ever known?

So I'm off to start writing! I'll be updating you guys shortly, so be sure to stay tuned! Thanks for all of your support! It really means a lot!

  1. Hey Jelli!

I'm a fellow Camp Nanowrimo camper and I stumbled across your blog through the Nanowrimo forums. It's really encouraging to know that there are other Christians out there who are passionate about both God AND writing! I hope that your time at camp will be fruitful. Your story synopsis sounds intriguing - I too am writing about abusive relationships for my July session novel. I'll definitely be checking in to see how yours turns out!

If you ever want to stop by another writer's blog, come visit me at mine: www.startanddontstop.blogspot.com. I'm hoping my blog will also have the kind of mix between writing updates and Christian devotions that you're aiming for here! Thanks again for posting and encouraging us with your passion and talent!

    Sincerely,
    Heids
